Children’s Centre Welcome!
Melcombe Primary School is a one and a half form entry community primary school located in Hammersmith, London, UK, which caters for children from Nursery through to Year 6.
We are located on the Fulham Palace Road, in a listed Victorian building, opposite the Charing Cross Hospital. The school has served the local community for over 100 years and we celebrated our centenary in 2004.
The school has also recently opened a Children’s Centre which has enabled us to offer more opportunities to our school community and our local area.
The school is unique in many ways but most importantly for two reasons.
Firstly, the school subscribes to a unique teaching and learning model in all lessons, which is based on accelerated learning and brain-based learning principles.
Secondly, the school also follows the Maths Makes Sense by Richard Dunne, which is based upon teaching Maths in a more kinaesthetic manner and to thus ensure a greater understanding and appreciation of mathematics.
We are particularly proud of our Ofsted Reports, which may be viewed on-line, and our Year 2 and 6 SATs results which continue to improve each year.
